Google Ads for Ebay
Español | Deutsche | Français | Italiano | Português | English
Now here is something that really makes me mad. In the old days Google would keep these guys from advertising, but today it seems a search for just about anything you type is going to be advertised for sale on Ebay by some affiliate with a Google Ad.
Try it. Go to any Google search page and type in the most outrageous stuff. You will probably see an ad in the sidebar for "what ever you typed" cheap on Ebay. aff.
It degrades Google and is destructive to their Ad Words program and it's embarrassing for Ebay and cheapens their brand. It's sad to see such obviously automated ads popping up during the most specific searches for things you know are not for sale.
Check this out:
Search for: Reggie
Search for Donkey Tail, and what do you know they even have used ones.
Looks like they deal in poo though.
Search for Dog Poop
What do I say we do about it?
Charge their butts off. Every single time you see one of these ads, charge them some money by taking a moment to do what they want and click on the ad.
Don't click more than once, that's just rude and Google will filter out those clicks anyway. But they did put their ad there so you could check it out and they are willing to pay to have you visit them. It would be a shame for them to go to all that trouble and us not to click. Right?
So if people are going to write stupid ads, make it cost them. Click on every stupid ad you see and help report the really dumb ones to Google and Ebay both.
Perhaps together we can get rid of this annoying Internet virtual graffiti before these "online marketers" ruin it all for the rest of us.
